Welcome Choir Singing ‘Teardrops’
Singing is commonly listed as a top ten activity for increasing happiness and reducing stress. Not only does it release endorphins and stimulate muscle-relaxing nerves, it is an interactive activity that brings people together, creating a collective ‘feel – good’ atmosphere.
The City of Ryde have come together with Venture Café and Welcome Choir to offer a free Welcome Choir singing event in Macquarie Park.
Welcome Choir is for EVERYONE, regardless of gender, experience, ability, etc. If you enjoy singing out loud to the radio or in the shower you will LOVE the Choir!
At the event you can expect to participate in an interactive sing-along in positive, supportive friendly and FUN format.
Food and drinks will also be provided throughout the evening.
Come along and bring your workmates to enjoy a lively, open, and friendly event that will leave you feeling great and on a natural ‘high’!

CITY
The Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes is an annual exhibition eagerly anticipated by artists and audiences alike.
The Archibald Prize, first awarded in 1921, is Australia’s favourite art award, and one of its most prestigious. Awarded to the best portrait painting, it’s a who’s who of Australian culture – from politicians to celebrities, sporting heroes to artists.
The Wynne Prize is awarded to the best landscape painting of Australian scenery, or figure sculpture, while the Sulman Prize is given to the best subject painting, genre painting or mural project in oil, acrylic, watercolour or mixed media.
Each year, the trustees of the Art Gallery of NSW judge the Archibald and Wynne, and invite an artist to judge the Sulman.
Visit the exhibition to vote for your favourite portrait in the ANZ People’s Choice award and see the work of budding artists aged 5–18 on display in the Young Archies.

Each session will be held at a different permaculture garden, location details will be forwarded after enrolment.
