Guanghai Zang: Koalas in Ink
The Chinese artist’s first art exhibition in Australia
We invite you to attend the opening ceremony of the Chinese artist Zhang Guanghai’s first art exhibition in Australia “Koalas In Ink”(水墨中的考拉). The artworks exhibited mainly include a batch of artworks completed by Guanghai in 1998, including traditional landscape paintings, flower and bird paintings, abstract paintings, and some great works that show a cultural integration of China and Australia – where koala meets Chinese ink painting.
We look forward to your visit to the opening ceremony of Koalas in Ink to witness the official launch of this art exhibition and the wonderful moment of China and Australian culture.
Opening night Tuesday 8 October, from 6pm to 8pm.

Granny Smith Festival 2019
We are looking forward to the 2019 Granny Smith Festival and cannot wait to share the fun and excitement we have planned for the event in October!
The annual Granny Smith Festival celebrates the life and legacy of one of our district’s most famous citizens, Maria Ann Smith – aka Granny Smith – who, back in 1868, ‘accidentally’ grew the first batch of little green apples that bear her name and are now grown all over the world.
The Granny Smith Festival began in 1985 and is now regarded as one of Sydney’s largest street festivals, a true community carnival, full of colour and good old fashioned fun. It attracts over 90,000 each year and is supported by local businesses, sporting and service organisations, schools and the wider community.
For full details, see the Granny Smith Festival page.
